The Company invites applications from energetic and experienced candidates for the position of Deputy Managing Director (Asset Development & Management) on contract basis detailed as under:
DEPUTY MANAGING DIRECTOR (ASSET DEVELOPMENT & MANAGEMENT)
FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS
- The position report to Managing Director but the job holder also works closely with the Board of Directors for transformation and growth of the Company.
- To manage the operations of the functions reporting directly i.e. Projects Delivery, Asset Management, Procurement & Contract Management, HVDC (O&M), Civil Engineering, Project Management Unit/Project Implementation Units (s), Land Directorate.
- To develop strategic goals/ KPIs of reporting departments and measure their progress on bi-annual basis.
- To implement Integrated Project Management Office (PMO) Methodology in line with the best international practices to ensure completion of projects on agreed timelines.
- To meet regulatory compliance requirements including but not limited to Safety Code, Grid Code and Transmission losses.
- To support System Operation Department by ensuring that reliability and stability of power quality in accordance with the NEPRA allowed limits for transformer and transmission lines in order to avoid tripping, damages to equipment and voltage violations.
- To review technical audit reports, transmission line losses statement and NEPRA guidelines on regular basis and take necessary corrective actions, accordingly.
- To support Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in preparation of financial proposals, budgeting, forecasting and capitalization of assets.
- To develop pay for performance culture besides ensuring congenial working environment in order to increase productivity and efficiency.
- To identify and mitigate risks that may affect business operations/losses.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & AGE
- A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, would be a minimum requirement. Degree in business management from HEC recognized/ accredited Universities would be desirable plus.
- The candidate must possess overall professional experience of twenty years in corporate entities with at least 5-years working experience in the energy sector.
- For private sector candidates overall experience of 20 years should include minimum 3-years’ in senior management position as Department Head/ C-Suite level.
- For public sector candidates overall experience of 20 years should include minimum 3-years at grade 20 or above positions.
- The candidate should not be more than 62 years of age on the closing date of this advertisement.
REMUNERATION & TENURE
- Market compatible package (negotiable as per qualification and experience) shall be offered to the external selected candidate. In case of selection of an internal candidate, existing pay and allowances drawn along with special allowance as per directions of the Board of Directors NTDC will be offered.
- The successful candidate will be offered three years contract extendable with mutual consent.
