The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) is an independent quasi-judicial body dedicated to  ensure healthy competition economic well-being. In alignment with organizational development, CCP intends to seek the services of a highly qualified individuals with hands-on experience for the post of Research Specialist(s) on a two years contract basis as per the given details;

1 Sr Research Specialist

The ideal candidate shall possess MPhil degree, preferably a Ph.D., in Economics, Finance, or Law from an HEC recognized institution or a reputable foreign university, with minimum 2 years of experience in research. Candidates holding Master’s Degree with 5 years of research experience may also be considered. He/ She must have an ability to carry out independent research. In addition to academic qualifications, the candidate should exhibit demonstrated leadership skills in managing and guiding research teams. Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration. The candidate should also showcase expertise in advanced research methodologies and data analysis. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a regulatory environment is highly valued. The candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory framework in Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities will include:
a. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and execute research projects.
b. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using statistical tools and research methodologies.
c. Refining methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of research procedures.
d. Addressing research inquiries and providing timely and insightful responses.
e. Proactively monitoring ongoing projects, identifying areas for improvement.
f. Providing Policy directives to the government on various sectors.

Remuneration: The Commission offers excellent remuneration ranging from Rs.350,000 to Rs.550,000 (Lump sum/ All inclusive), based on candidates experience and qualification.

2 Jr Research Specialist

The candidate shall possess Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Law. This position mandates a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. He/ She should have a solid foundation in market research principles, excellent English communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis software. Familiarity with survey tools and statistical analysis techniques is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities;

The key responsibilities will include;
a. Conducting primary and secondary research to collect data for market analysis
b. Analyzing data and prepare reports using various tools, including Excel, SPSS, and other statistical software
c. Participating in the development of research methodologies and processes
d. Assisting in the preparation of presentations, and other documentation.
e. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze research data
f. Help maintain the accuracy and completeness of research databases and spreadsheets requirements.

Remuneration: The Commission offers excellent remuneration ranging from Rs.250,000 to Rs.350,000 (Lump sum/ All inclusive), based on candidates experience and qualification.




General Terms and Conditions:

1.The candidate possessing the requisite qualification, experience and age may apply.

2.Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview, no TA/DA will be given to the candidates who appear in the test/interview.

3.Government employees may apply through proper channel after getting NOC from the parent department.

4.Applications that are incomplete or received after the due date will not be considered.

5.General age relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit would be granted as admissible under the rules.

6.After completion of two years contract, individuals exhibiting exemplary abilities, knowledge, and outstanding performance may be considered for an extension period based on performance and requirement.

7.Candidates who try to exercise undue influence during the selection process will be disqualified immediately.
